Ed Norwood is a British actor/writer based in Los Angeles. Graduate of one of London’s leading acting schools Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles. Ed is a working finalist at The Actors Studio, where he continues to develop his craft. He was a child actor in the British theatre scene working in over 40 productions before the age of 18, including the role of Boy Pink in Pink Floyd’s The Wall, two National Tours of hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals, and leading The Mikado 2013 revival in London.
Ed is also a photographer and painter, with work featured in Lunciérnagas Magazine, as well as a business owner, certified in Entrepreneurial Essentials by Harvard Business School. His passion for film has led him to spend the last 18 months studying many avenues of filmmaking, and is currently pivoting his career towards new creative outlets.
Dancing the Dance will be Ed’s debut film as a writer/director. After Dancing the Dance, he plans on directing his second short film, The Waiter, and continue developing his first feature script on the complexities of grief and love, against the sultry backdrop of a southern Spanish house—shining a light on bisexuality, connection and loss. This film was outlined during a Sundance Co//ab course summer 2022. Ed also intends to release his first photography book under his pseudonym, on male intimacy, and to complete his first novel him, a day in the life of a lonely photographer in Paris that is haunted by the intrusive memory of a ex.
